I have stayed at Butt Lodge three times now and it never disappoints. The room and common areas are immaculate, the breakfast was delicious and the hosts were very friendly and chatty. Also, you can’t beat seeing the deer roam around the golf course and the seals in the bay.
Strongly recommend this hotel.

had a great time at the lodge, even better than our previous stay. Beautiful views, fantastic breakfast, and attention to detail in the decor made it a truly relaxing holiday.
Walls were too thin.

Exceptionally comfortable room with top quality beds, adjustable heating, and a fantastic shower with great water pressure. The highlight was the delicious dinner after a long day of walking. Alcohol can be ordered ahead from Pirnmill stores. Highly recommended.

I had a fantastic stay at a charming country house that was located in a peaceful area with beautiful views. The hosts were attentive and made sure I felt welcome throughout my stay. The room was cozy and had all the amenities I needed. The highlight was the delicious breakfast cooked to order, with the eggs being a rich golden yellow. Although the road to the lodge was interesting and required caution, it added to the adventure of the trip. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The hosts were really friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. the location was fantastic, with beautiful views of nature all around. We loved being able to see the stags up close and personal. the rooms were comfortable and clean, providing a cozy place to relax after a long day of exploring.
That the main chicken dish for dinner lacked flavor. It seemed like it was thrown together last minute, which was a bit disappointing.

The room was absolutely stunning, with beautiful views and luxurious amenities. The owners were extremely welcoming and helpful, giving great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of options to choose from. The location was perfect, with easy access to public transportation and stunning views all around. We were also able to walk to a local distillery and restaurant, which was a great bonus.
Honestly, there was nothing to dislike about our stay. Everything exceeded our expectations and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We were delighted with the value for money at the Butt Lodge. Our room was absolutely classy and comfortable, and the shared living room was fantastic. The location, nestled in a small seaside village with stunning walks along the seashore and cliffs, was a dream come true. The staff, especially Alistair, were incredibly helpful and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable.
Food for breakfast could have been improved by offering a pet-friendly dining area where dogs could join their owners.

Lovely comfortable B&B in a stunning location with beautiful views. The room we stayed in was spacious, modern, and had a comfortable bed. We enjoyed watching the deer on the nearby golf course. The breakfast options were delicious, especially the overnight oats and freshly baked croissants. The hosts, Cath and Mac, were welcoming and made us feel at home. Despite some road issues, our stay at Butt Lodge was enjoyable. we highly recommend this B&B for a memorable and cozy stay.

Central heating and hot water in September, which is not always guaranteed in luxury places in the Scottish Isles. Charming location with a lovely view of wild deer wandering on the nearby golf course. The breakfast was outstanding, with options like local smoked salmon and a hearty breakfast. The hosts were obliging and friendly, creating a relaxed atmosphere at the lodge. Impressive attention to detail and presentation in the food served. Good memory and personal touch from the host, addressing everyone by name.
The road leading to the lodge had stones and holes, which could be a concern ' vehicles. Lack of light at night when walking to the nearest restaurant from the lodge.

We were greeted warmly by the owners who made us feel right at home. The lodge itself is breathtaking, with beautiful surroundings that provide a sense of peace and tranquility. Our room was spotless and tastefully decorated, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We enjoyed delicious homemade cakes and tea in the afternoons, and the breakfast spread was varied and plentiful. The location is perfect, with stunning views and plenty of wildlife to spot. Although there were a few minor drawbacks, like the rough road leading to the property and low mirrors in the bathrooms, they did not overshadow the overall wonderful experience we had at Butt Lodge. We are already planning our return trip and highly recommend this hidden gem for a peaceful and friendly stay. we had a fantastic time and cannot wait to visit again.

The view from our room was absolutely stunning, with picturesque mountains and shimmering water. We also loved the warm and welcoming staff, who went out of their way to answer all our questions and provide helpful recommendations. Plus, the breakfast offered a delicious selection of locally sourced foods.
The access road to the property was a nightmare! It was filled with potholes and metal drainage channels that caused damage to our vehicle.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
